Principal's Message

Dear AMFRA Family,

 

Good evening.  The Big Yellow Bus that didn’t run Monday and Tuesday WILL be running tomorrow.  We are still working hard to get the second bus route up and running.

 

We are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month this month (September 15 to October 15).  The cadets and parents have been working really hard for a celebration day on THIS Friday, September 27.  We will have food trucks and a field meet (tug of war, obstacle course, 5v5 soccer tournament).  Parents and guardians are welcome to attend. Details on the menu for the food trucks will be sent out tomorrow.

 

Because we are having a field competition on Friday, we are changing the uniform of the day.  The uniform of the day for Friday, September 27 is CAMMIES.

 

We have Rock Region Metro passes for cadets whose families want them.  Please fill out this form.  https://tinyurl.com/28bcuxn7. Ms. Bowen will call students to her office to provide the passes.   Cadets should make sure to bring their ID cards.

 

The Cadet Progress Conferences will be Tuesday, October 1.  Your cadet’s mentor will be reaching out this week to schedule.  Remember, the cadet and their parents/guardians and any others you would like to invite will only have to come on that day for the conference itself.  The cadet’s will be presenting their Cadet Progress Report to you (and your invitees) and their mentor.  The conferences are scheduled for approximately 20 minutes.  This is a critical event in the educational process at AMFRA.  Please make every effort to come.  However, if you are unable to come during the day, we can schedule virtual conferences online through Google Meet or through Zoom.  Please let your cadet’s mentor know if you need this option.

 

Please also note that Home Access Center (HAC) information (including log ins) are available in the front office.  If you would like your HAC information, please let Ms. Bowen know.

Estimada familia AMFRA:

 

Buenas noches. El autobús amarillo que no funcionó el lunes y el martes funcionará mañana. Seguimos trabajando arduamente para que la segunda ruta de autobús esté en funcionamiento.

Este mes celebramos el Mes de la Herencia Hispana (del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre). Los cadetes y los padres han estado trabajando muy duro para celebrar este viernes 27 de septiembre. Tendremos camiones de comida y una competencia de campo (tira y afloja, carrera de obstáculos, torneo de fútbol 5 contra 5). Los padres y tutores pueden asistir. Los detalles sobre el menú de los camiones de comida se enviarán mañana.

 

Debido a que el viernes tendremos una competencia de campo, cambiaremos el uniforme del día. El uniforme del día del viernes 27 de septiembre es CAMMIES.

Bowen llamará a los estudiantes a su oficina para proporcionarles los pases. Los cadetes deben asegurarse de traer sus tarjetas de identificación.

 

Las conferencias de progreso de los cadetes se llevarán a cabo el martes 1 de octubre. El mentor de su cadete se comunicará con usted esta semana para programar una cita. Recuerde que el cadete, sus padres/tutores y cualquier otra persona que desee invitar solo tendrán que asistir ese día a la conferencia. Los cadetes le presentarán su Informe de progreso de cadetes a usted (y a sus invitados) y a su mentor. Las conferencias están programadas para durar aproximadamente 20 minutos. Este es un evento fundamental en el proceso educativo de AMFRA. Haga todo lo posible por asistir. Sin embargo, si no puede asistir durante el día, podemos programar conferencias virtuales en línea a través de Google Meet o Zoom. Informe al mentor de su cadete si necesita esta opción.

 

Tenga en cuenta también que la información del Centro de acceso domiciliario (HAC) (incluidos los inicios de sesión) está disponible en la oficina principal. Si desea obtener información sobre el HAC, infórmeselo a la Sra. Bowen.
